What if we make it happen? |  Session II: The art of metamorphosis
Episode 2: The music of soul

This writing workshop is a space for sharing and experimentation where we allow ourselves to dream together and trace the paths of desirable futures. Through a transdisciplinary approach that is as political as it is poetic, this workshop is driven by the desire to gather our forces to write together the world we want to see happen. Participants will be invited to form a research team whose mission is to awaken the power of our sleeping imaginations.

Our dreams have been colonized by apocalyptic visions and largely sustained by the buzz of the media. Technocratic language, economic injunctions and the specter of war have invaded our lives and our conversations. To no longer suffer but to write, to imagine a new paradigm of society, to open the doors to new horizons are more than ever essential activities. As the writer Felwine Sarr so aptly puts it, "The future happens because we think about it in the present. We project it into an imaginary world, into our thoughts and we act to make it happen. You have to have a vision. You have to have a vision of where you want to go. You have to have a vision of what kind of society you want to put in place to make it happen."

No prior knowledge or practice of writing is expected, only curiosity and open-mindedness are welcome. People who wish to contribute to the workshop by drawing are also welcome. The exchanges will be considered from the perspective of the Arab worlds and will be driven by anti-racist, feminist, decolonial, queer, ecological and intersectional thinking. The workshop is available in english (but everyone can write in his own language as well as arabic, french etc…)
