MOTA 009 WORDS ON THE GROUND NOMADIC CONVERSATION Question by Giulia LeddaNOVEMBER 5th 2021 6pm @ LAGRANGE POINTS BRUSSELS Rue des Tanneurs 114, Brussels
FREEMOTA 009 - Words on the Ground is the topic of the second in a series of migrant conversations in the 21/22 season. Words on the ground are what make up our foundations, what trip us up, what raise the alarm, what hold us safe, what allow us to navigate in the thick complexity of stories - our own and those written from far away. The shifting, malleable, untrustworthy set of alternative knowledges, gossip, urban myths, overheard conversations, tags on walls and stickers on lamp posts that tie us to places and communities.
MOTA is a series of nomadic conversations in Brussels criss-crossing and connecting the city’s artists through their shared questions and enquiries. The aim of MOTA is to create temporary communities around artist-questions, to propose, debate, discuss, share and problematize bursting through disciplinary, linguistic and other precieved borders. To create a porous space to come together in difference around the questions that drive our practices. All welcome, we will aim to accommodate different languages in the conversation and there will be some drinks and finger food too.
If it is daunting for you to come alone, or you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us in advance by emailing: [email protected]
