Tarek Alsayed: Ever since he watched a concert on TV as a child, Tarek Alsayed Yahyah has been fascinated by the Oud. When he finally got an Oud from his father, he never stopped playing. About a year after the war in Syria broke out, he fled his city of Aleppo and ended up in Belgium. He has now been here for almost four years, playing Oud and teaching at the academy in Sint-Niklaas.
Khaled and Tarek will take us for the first time in a live concert after COVID-19, on a journey through the Aleppo style maqam and enchanting poetry from Islamic/Sufi heritage.
