Acting for change : forum-theatre @ Lagrange Points

How about discovering theatre in a completely new way ?
And how about combining theatre and fighting for more social justice ?
? CURIOUS ?

This afternoon you are going to experience a FORUM THEATRE
It Is a participative technique in which unresolved scenes of oppression from real life stories are presented. It is then replayed and the audience Is Invited to stop the action, replace the character they feel is oppressed, and improvise to find alternatives as many times as needed. The purpose of forum theatre is to empower people facing similar oppression and systemic discrimination but ON STAGE

Never heard about this kind of theatre ? We willl explain everything, just come and we will show you the world of theatre from another perspective. This performance was created by a group of 12 racialized people, mixing amateurs and professionals, through a weekly workshop that lasted 4 months.

The group has chosen to work specifically on 2 thematics : racism and sexism.
We started from scratch and today we are proud to present our work for the first time

Event organized by a group of students in Cultural Management at the U.L.B. (Caroline Reinault, Donia Dubail and Omar Fassi Fehri) in the framework of a project involving a collaboration between Les Polymorphistes, Syatre, and Lagrange Points.
